Basic Fruit Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients for Basic Fruit Smoothie Recipe
  • 1 cups fruit juice
  • 1 cups fruit
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1 small banana (optional)


  1. Use a blender to puree the fruit juice and frozen fruit.
  2. Once the chunks of fruit have been thoroughly broken down add yogurt.
  3. Blend more until the yogurt is thoroughly mixed into the smoothie.
You can use nearly any fruit juice and frozen fruit to make a basic fruit smoothie. You may also substitute milk, soy milk, or rice milk for the fruit juice. I like to use Kerr's Nectar's for the juice's. Popular combinations include:
  • Orange Juice + Strawberries + Yogurt + Banana
  • Apple Juice + Strawberries + Raspberry Yogurt + Banana
  • Grape Juice + Strawberries + Raspberry Yogurt + Banana
  • Milk + Strawberries + Raspberry Sorbet + Banana
