1 | cup all-purpose flour | ||||

2 | tablespoons baking cocoa | ||||
2 | teaspoons baking powder | ||||
1/2 | teaspoon salt | ||||
1/2 | cup milk | ||||
2 | tablespoons vegetable oil | ||||
1 | teaspoon vanilla | ||||
1/2 | cup chopped nuts | ||||
3/4 | cup packed brown sugar | ||||
1/4 | cup baking cocoa | ||||
1 1/2 | cups hot water |
Preheat oven to 350.
In a 9 x 9 inch pan, mux together flour, sugar, 2 T cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
Add oil, vanilla, and milk.
Once mixed, sprinkle brown sugar and the 1/4 c cocoa over the top. Put the cake into the oven, then pour the hot water over the top.
Bake for 40 minutes, then let stand for 10 minutes,
Serve while still warm with vanilla ice cream.
